New Details on Villainous Experiences Aboard the Disney Destiny

Heroes, legends, and a few… snarky souls have found themselves onboard the beautiful Disney Destiny, now sailing out of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for all guests' brave and mischievous adventures.
Not only do guests dine with kings at Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King and take an adventure to ancient Greece via the Walt Disney Theatre in “Disney Hercules,” they also have the chance to entertain their inner rogue during unique meet-and-play opportunities with some of Disney Animation and Marvel’s classic villains.
These wretched rendezvous are extra special, as many of these villainous shenanigans are only available onboard the Disney Destiny.
Now, let’s dive into how favorite villains could make guests' sailings an awfully vengeful voyage.
Will Loki Take Over the Disney Destiny?
Step into the world of Norse mythology with “The Legend of Loki” on the Disney Destiny, as the Grand Hall transforms into one of its signature villainous looks.
In this special story, guests will discover ancient Nordic statues which become enchanted with the magic of Loki himself, telling the stories of the gods of Asgard and the trials of the God of Mischief. Of course, Loki is sure to set the record straight on these tales, since he is ultimately planning to claim his “rightful” place as king of the Disney Destiny.
The Grand Hall is also home to “Celebration of a King,” a beautiful tribute to King T’Challa of Wakanda. Unfortunately, Loki crashes the celebration, assuming that the grandeur is all about him (we all make mistakes), and declares that he is king of the ship, demanding guests kneel before him instead. Will anyone save the ship from the God of Mischief’s enchantment?

Under Her Spell: A Maleficent Encounter
In Saga, the miffed enchantress, Maleficent, will hold court in a one-of-a-kind encounter, transforming the entertainment lounge into whatever suits her fancy, calling forth the glittering regalia of a medieval throne room, the dark echoes of an eerie dungeon, or the shadows of a foreboding forest.
Maleficent is here to show guests the wonders of her magical powers, inviting only the bravest in the lounge to approach her and be cast under her spell surrounded by lightning, fire, rain, and smoke in this lounge-turned-lair.

Stay Vigilant in Dr. Facilier’s Parlor
This is no friendly meet-and-greet… or is it? Guests can step into the darker side of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Princess and the Frog and meet the playfully sinister practitioner of the macabre, Dr. Facilier, to see if they can keep up with his swindles and scams in his makeshift parlor.
Can they spot a slight of hand? Roam the upper levels of the Grand Hall, and they just might find out. Go on, pick a card.

“If She Doesn’t Scare You…”
This piano bar is DARLING! The fashion icon, Cruella de Vil, is honored in every detail of De Vil’s, the one-of-a-kind piano lounge on board the Disney Destiny. Here, guests can literally “look out for Cruella de Vil,” and they just might catch a glimpse of the legendary diva herself in “Treblemaking with Cruella,” an invitation to help our beloved villain rework Roger Radcliffe’s classic tune to lyrics that suit her fancy and do justice to her marvelousness.
From lyrics to looks, they'll also have the chance to show their most fearsome fits to Cruella herself in “Wretched Runway: A Cruella Fashion Show.” That is, if they can take some criticism.
Guests should don their most villainous, heroic, and Cruella-inspired couture (spots encouraged, of course!) as the reigning rogue en vogue dishes her most sincere compliments.
But That’s Not All…
As if these marvelous encounters weren’t enough, guests should be sure to gather in the Grand Hall for a darker take on the traditional Disney Cruise Line “Kiss Goodnight,” when the chandelier becomes enchanted with an especially sinister glow complete with a surprise villain appearance onstage to offer them some extra-special “Kiss Goodnightmares.”
Sip and Sail with Bars and Lounges on the Disney Destiny

The new ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Destiny, offers spaces for the whole family to enjoy together, plus specialty venues for both kids and families.
The Disney Destiny’s bars and lounges are no exception, offering both exclusive spaces for adults and venues with family entertainment during the day, before turning into a haven for those 18+ to enjoy in the evening.
Many of these venues feature brand-new designs, plus special, exclusive menus, all inspired by the unforgettable personalities of heroic and villainous characters in favorite Disney stories.
We’re on a quest to experience all of the lounges and bars onboard the Disney Destiny. Here we go!

De Vil’s
Perfectly wretched! De Vil’s is a lavish lounge inspired by the iconic, villainous fashionista, Cruella de Vil. Her unforgettably bold flair made infamous by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ One Hundred and One Dalmatians comes to life in a whole new way, all with her sleek, signature color palette of red, black, and white. And, of course, spots!
The chic, intimate piano lounge located off the Grand Hall is inspired by Hollywood Regency design and a fabulous, spotted grand piano to entertain adults on the hunt for some relaxation and live music.
Above the spotted piano, a fiber optic Cruella will appear and disappear. If guests are at De Vil’s at the right time, they should be prepared “to take a sudden chill,” as the fabulous diva herself might just make an appearance. In “Treble Making with Cruella,” the fearsome fur lady takes over the piano lounge to rewrite the lyrics of her classic song and design a more flattering ode to her marvelousness.
A high-fashion piano lounge needs a high-fashion menu, and inside De Vil’s guests will find a selection of designer drink offerings, all inspired by the characters from Disney films. They should be sure to dress the part as these couture beverages serve as that perfect last accessory, honoring Cruella de Vil’s classic legacy.

The Sanctum
Guests can step into the Sanctum, Disney Cruise Line’s very first lounge inspired by Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange. The Sanctum is the centrally located entertainment parlor hosting activities for families during the day before inviting adults to enjoy a mystical evening with live music and themed drinks.
As if a Sanctum is hiding in plain sight, the bar is more subtle in design, but if they look closely guests will find themselves surrounded by mysterious curios from Doctor Strange’s New York Sanctum, with spellbinding trinkets designed to aid sorcerers, including Doctor Strange’s Cloak of Levitation and spell books from the library of Kamar-Taj. The circular window icon behind the bar is a nod to the seal protecting the New York Sanctum, and details throughout the lounge are inspired by the sorcerers’ light shields and mystical arts.
Guests can start and end their day with the supernatural in The Sanctum, which offers a menu for guests of all ages, including a magical array of mocktails, cocktails, spirits, and coffee. Electric and levitating libations from across the multiverse feature prominently in this spectacular lounge.

Cask & Cannon
“Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!” Guests can skip walking the plank and walk on into Cask & Cannon, the pirate’s pub inspired by the classic (and our personal favorite!) Disney Parks attraction from around the world. This swashbuckling tavern is furnished with an eclectic mix of treasures that have been pillaged and plundered — or, “commandeered,” one might say — by the storied pirates themselves.
Here, the rum is never gone! Cask & Cannon serves a menu of rare, specialty, and vintage rums, even a selection of “bootlegged” brews on tap, served straight from the barrel. Guests can grab themselves a libation in true pirate style, surrounded by treasures, fishing nets, and rum bottles from jolly adventures throughout the years. This is a great space for a casual get-together, complete with live sports on televisions throughout the pub.
For fans of the Disney Parks attractions, take a close look at the details around the pub. The lanterns serve as a nod to the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland Paris. This easter egg is burned into our minds: if guests look closely at the portholes, they will find intricate carvings etched into charred wood, a nod to the burning village scene. And, can they spot the jail cell keys? Don’t worry, there’s no prison pup onboard to taunt anyone with them.
When guests look up, they'll notice a fantastical map of the Caribbean Sea, with pirate ships representing the growing Disney Cruise Line fleet. When they look down, they'll find a nod to the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, with Captain Jack Sparrow’s compass designed into the carpet. Does it point to what they desire most?
Perfect for Pirate Night on the Disney Destiny, Cask & Cannon might even have a stop from Captain Jack Sparrow himself as he walks about the Disney Destiny looking for a brave crew to help him in his latest quest.

The Haunted Mansion Parlor
Welcome, foolish mortals. The Haunted Mansion Parlor is the spookiest space for a sympathetic libation onboard the Disney Destiny. Guests can settle into a mysterious sea captain’s parlor and learn the unnerving story of his bride, with haunting cues from enchanted objects around the parlor brought to life by Madame Leota throughout the evening.
The fan-favorite Haunted Mansion Parlor first debuted on the Disney Treasure, and offers a haunting array of beverages, including an all-new menu of mocktails and cocktails exclusive to the Disney Destiny.
Inside, guests will find not only several design elements that reflect the beloved Disney Parks attractions, from the mansion wallpaper to the haunted clock striking 13, but they'll also find unique additions, including a spooky aquatic focal point from the Walt Disney Imagineering archives: a ghostly fish tank filled with skeletal fish.
Whatever heroic or villainous turn guests' days take onboard the Disney Destiny, there is something for everyone in the family during a Disney Cruise vacation.
Discover New Shows and Heroic Entertainment on the Disney Destiny

For guests looking to be the main character of their own vacation, a sailing on the Disney Destiny just might be calling their name. Disney Cruise Line’s new ship celebrates the legendary worlds and larger-than-life heroes and villains at the heart of Disney Animation, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, and Disney Parks stories, with thrilling adventures at every turn and an incredible array of entertainment that will inspire guests to embrace their own destiny.
Every venue is a stage onboard the ship, with extraordinary entertainment for the whole family including deck parties, live music and encounters with your favorite characters — heroes and villains alike. The Walt Disney Theatre is the ultimate destination to experience heroic stories onboard Disney cruise ships, offering Broadway-style entertainment that takes families on a journey through their favorite Disney tales throughout the sailing.
Let’s take a look at the stage shows onboard the Disney Destiny for guests' own hero’s quests.

Disney Hercules
The new Broadway-style stage show, exclusively onboard the Disney Destiny, “Disney Hercules,” brings a hero’s adventure to the Walt Disney Theatre like never before. This retelling of the classic Walt Disney Animation Studios film is a party from the very start with the iconic music and characters we know and love, presented in an all-new way. And that’s the gospel truth!
True to the spirit of the film, the fabulous Muses guide guests through the story, singing all of their favorite songs in spectacular renditions that will have them dancing along, with the full soulfulness of gospel music and the over-the-top energy of a concert.
As guests are guided through the mythological world of ancient Greece, they will experience all-new, towering puppetry starting with Hercules’ battle of the multi-headed Hydra as the monster seemingly takes over the entire theater. Then, they'll find themselves looking up — way up — during the hero’s final battle between the larger-than-life Titans of the Underworld as the monsters storm the stage with Disney Cruise Line’s debut of Disney’s patented exoskeleton technology.
We expect to see a few inspired guests in Senses Fitness after Hercules shows strength worthy of Mount Olympus! Or, if they've discovered their own inner Muse, we hope to see them try their hand at karaoke in Saga.

Disney Seas the Adventure
On the first night of their cruise, guests can settle into their sailing by heading to the Walt Disney Theatre, where they'll fly through classic Disney and Pixar stories in “Disney Seas the Adventure.”
The story is timed to the cruise, taking place on the very first night of a brand-new Disney Cruise Line voyage. Captain Minnie Mouse asks Goofy to help her steer the ship while she plans a special project, and as Goofy learns to keep the ship on course, he takes guests on a special journey across classic Disney and Pixar stories, meeting beloved characters and singing their favorite songs along the way. Guests should keep their eyes peeled throughout the show, because dancers, puppets, and special effects move from the stage into the aisles and around the entire theater as Goofy travels through these special stories.
The show’s finale will bring guests to their feet as they celebrate Captain Minnie’s special surprise, all with a shower of sparkling confetti and an exhilarating chorus that will inspire guests to “Try Everything!”

Frozen: A Musical Spectacular
We hope the cold never bothered anyone, because a chill falls into the Walt Disney Theatre as the curtain rises on the third show of guests' sailings, “Frozen: A Musical Spectacular.” This exclusive, Broadway-style retelling of the Disney Animation blockbuster is a Disney Cruise Line fan favorite, now gracing the Disney Destiny’s stage with its frozen fractals all around.
Guests can follow Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf through a beautiful journey across Arendelle with dazzling renditions of beloved songs and spectacular puppetry that brings favorite characters to life like never before. We hope everyone will join us in singing along to “In Summer” with Olaf!

Beyond the Walt Disney Theatre
While the Walt Disney Theatre houses these tremendous tales brought to stage, guests will discover classic Disney entertainment all over the Disney Destiny.
Guests should be sure not to miss the festivities on the upper decks, from the magical sail away party to the raucous Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party during pirate night, complete with fireworks at sea. Dinner comes with a show in Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King, the all-new theatrical dining experience celebrating the stunning soundtrack of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Lion King with live musical performances.
These are just a few of the unforgettable entertainment and character encounters guests will find throughout the entire ship as they experience their very own heroic adventure onboard the Disney Destiny.
